This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from our Site; theedtd.com (the site).

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use Squarespace to power our online store and Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. We will not pass on your information to a third party sales or marketing agent.

DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

SHIPPING & HANDLING INFORMATION

Please allow up to 72 hours for order processing.

International shipping charges (all orders outside the U.K.) DO NOT INCLUDE the import duties or taxes that are due upon entry into the destination country. All duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer, and must be paid at the time of delivery. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

 

Please note, The Madam Editor LTD cannot be held liable for interruption of shipping/delivery service (domestic and international) that may result outside its control, including, but not limited to, the following: incorrect or missing address information at the time of purchase stemming on the part of the customer, the unavailability or refusal of a person to accept delivery of the shipment, customs, disruptions in air or ground transportation networks and national disasters, global pandemics etc.

 

All prints ship via Royal Mail recorded delivery. Shipping times may vary due to local customs processes.

 

 

RETURNS

There are NO returns; all orders are final. Exchanges are only accepted in the case of damaged goods. If you have received your purchase and it is damaged, please email themadameditor@gmail.com within 3 days of receipt and a replacement will be sent out at no extra charge to you.

 

 

PRIVACY STATEMENT

# 1 - YOUR INFORMATION

When you purchase an item from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we will collect the personal information you give. 

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s IP address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing: When you sign up for our newsletter, with your permission, we will send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. 

Withdrawing consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by opting out of the newsletter subscription

 

# 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

 

# 4 - SQUARESPACE

Our store is hosted on Squarespace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. 

Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

 

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Squarespace stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.  

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.  

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Our store uses Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being looked at.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all necessary requirements to ensure your safety.
